Description
New Italo Sin is an Italian synthpop duo formed by singer Anita Campagnolo and synth programmer Luigi Stefanini. The band started in 1982 under the name New Sin, performing tracks that were a mixture of Italian Disco and New Wave sound. They are well known among the Italo fans from their 80s hits “Old Man” and “Black Fantasy”. In 2017 the duo began composing Italo Disco music again under the name “New Italo Sin”. “La Balalata” and “Ice Cream And Lollipop” were recorded in 1988 at New Sin Studio. Though finalized exactly 30 years ago, these tracks remained unreleased until now. The idea for “La Balalata” comes from Anita’s childhood, from a joke made by her father. “Ice Cream And Lollipop” is a hymn for lighthearted way of life; a kind of invitation to live life with a playful spirit of a child. “Feel Me Now” is the original demo recorded in 1982. It was recorded on a Teac 144 four-track cassette recorder and has been now digitized from the tape in the best possible quality. Let’s welcome Anita and Luigi back with these pieces of the Italo Disco history.
